Your cover letter is your opportunity to show the employer that you have good written communication skills - a skill that is often included in the essential selection criteria! It is also an opportunity to show the employer that you are enthusiastic about working at their institution, which is why it is necessary to do some research and personalise your cover letter for each job you apply to.

The steps involved in cover letter preparation with me are:

  1. I email you my cover letter template with some general guidance.

  2. You write a draft using my template, ideally for a specific job or hospital you wish to apply to, then email it to me.

  3. I review and edit your cover letter. If the content of your cover letter still needs extra work, I will give you advice on what adjustments need to be made and edit a second draft.

I charge $150 for cover letter preparation.  Hopefully after my assistance you will feel confident writing cover letters for future job applications. However, I am always happy to review and edit further cover letters, for which additional fees apply.
